AHS Murder House/Coven crossover gets premiere date

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to the upcoming season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY this year. It's the show's eighth season and a few weeks back we got the killer news that this season is officially going to be the much-teased and much-anticipated crossover season featuring season one's "Murder House" and season three's "Coven."

And today we have word on just when the new season will be crossing over to our TV screens as the premiere date for AHS 8 has been announced on the official American Horror Story Twitter account as "9.12" Which, for those of you out there that need it spelled out a bit more, translates to Wednesday, September 12th.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN took place in 2013, in New Orleans, and follows a Coven of Salem witches as they fight for survival. Cast members included Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Jessica Lange, Jamie Brewer, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Robin Bartlett, along with Emma Roberts and Kathy Bates. The third season of this horror anthology series was:

Set primarily at a secret school for witches in New Orleans. After an absence in Season 2, Taissa Farmiga returns to the show as Zoe Benson, a young woman who unexpectedly discovers that she possesses a dangerous supernatural ability. She's sent to the special Louisiana school — which is run by Headmistress Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson) where she embarks on spell-filled adventures with fellow witches Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts), Nan (Jamie Brewer) and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe). Jessica Lange is also back as Fiona Goode, a powerful witch chasing eternal life, while Evan Peters plays frat boy Kyle Spencer in his return. Other familiar faces include Denis O'Hare and Lily Rabe, while newcomers Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett bring fresh excitement to the talented cast.

AHS 8 is all set to star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, and Joan Collins. The eighth season of the horror anthology series will premiere on FX on Wednesday, September 12th. Mark your calendars!
