An Unquiet Grave trailer promotes a creepy new Shudder release

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Terence Krey's horror film An Unquiet Grave is available to watch on the Shudder streaming service as of today, and we've gotten our hands on the film's trailer to help you decide whether or not you'd like to check it out. That trailer is embedded above.

Starring Jacob A. Ware and Christine Nyland, who also wrote the screenplay with Krey, An Unquiet Grave is a "two-hander" (meaning you shouldn't expect to see much of anyone other than Ware and Nyland in there) with a running time of just 76 minutes, so it won't take up much of your day if you do decide to watch it.

The synopsis:

A year after losing his wife in a car crash, Jamie convinces her sister, Ava, to return with him to the site of the accident and help him perform a strange ritual. But as the night wears on, it becomes clear that he has darker intentions. An Unquiet Grave is an exploration of grief, and the harm we cause when we don’t take responsibility for our own healing.

Shudder has released the film in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

An Unquiet Grave looks like it has the potential to get pretty unnerving, and it will be interesting to see how Krey and Nyland were able to make the interactions between Nyland and Ware's characters sustain a feature length running time.

This is the feature directorial debut of Krey, who previously directed short films and a 21 episode series called Graves – which happened to have both Ware and Nyland in the cast.

Ware has also been in episodes of Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Gotham. Nyland was in Aimy in a Cage, Worthless, and The Garden Left Behind, and wrote and directed a project called Wrinkles & Sprinkles: The Animated Series.
