Not sure this is one hundred percent AITH material, but what the hell. News is rather slow today, and even if it weren’t…any flick written by Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS) that potentially stars THE Angelina Jolie is gonna get my attention. So here we are…

Word out of Deadline this early evening has it that GK Films is fast tracking a movie called UNFORGIVEN, an adaptation of the 2009 British Miniseries. Christopher McQuarrie adapted the script, and given GK Films’ Graham King’s good working relationship with Miss Jolie, it appears the stunning 35 year old Oscar winner (pictured) is onboard as well. Rock on…

UNFORGIVEN is about a woman’s attempt to rejoin society after she serves a 15-year prison stretch for the murder of two policemen. The tragedy happened after the policemen came to evict her family from their farmhouse. Her hope is to live quietly and reunite with her troubled younger sister, but the paroled woman is targeted for a revenge campaign by two sons of one of her victims.

All this, as alluded to, stems from Jolie’s ties with GK films. Not only is her upcoming film THE TOURIST set up there, so is the recently announced Bosnian love story she wrote with plans to direct. Good to see her stay faithful, nah’mean?!?

So what’s the deal? You diggin’ the sound of this project? You into the idea of McQuarrie and Jolie teaming up? What’cha got?
