It's been awhile since we last heard about the new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY animated series, there was that pretty cool test footage last year, and thing got pretty quiet. Now things are starting to move forward as voice actors have been revealed for perhaps the two most important roles. If I was offered a gig saying "I am Groot" several different ways for what will likely be a lucrative TV show, I wouldn't have to think twice about it. Neither did Kevin Michael Richardson either I assume as the talented voice actor has landed the role of our favorite walking tree. You've likely heard Richardson countless times on shows like The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teen Titans and The Batman.

Disney shared with us Richardson’s take on Groot’s dialogue:

Of course his partner in crime has also been cast, Trevor Duvall will voice Rocket. He is a prolific voice actor says his IMDb page having performed in hundreds of animated productions including television movies, series, feature films and video games. Marvel and Disney will continue to announce the roster as this week goes on so we will try and keep you updated.

What do you think of the voice talent so far? Will you be checking out the series?
