Animated Stiller?

Ben Stiller had so much fun working with DreamWorks animation on MADAGASCAR and its upcoming sequel, he’s decided to return. This time he’ll be producing his own animated movie titled MASTER MIND, which has been described as a spoof of superhero movies. The film follows an evil villain who’s life is thrown into turmoil when he actually defeats his arch-nemesis Uberman. Directing the film will be Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson who’s work you might have seen in the short “First Flight” that ran before OVER THE HEDGE last summer. Both Hood and Jefferson have been with DreamWorks since its inception working on THE PRINCE OF EGYPT (yikes, remember that one!…). Stiller deadpans of the deal, “They have put the film on the fast track, which in animation terms means it will be coming out in the next 15-20 years.” He’s joking but not really. It should be at least five years before we see MASTER MIND in theaters. Isn’t it funny how different DreamWorks operates from Pixar where everything is shrouded in secrecy? You’d never catch Pixar announcing a movie before production had even started on it. Alan Schoolcraft & Brent Simons wrote the MASTER MIND script and they are also working with DreamWorks on a sequel to SMALL SOLDIERS. Wait…say what?!
