Last Updated on July 30, 2021

When you think of Paul Feig, you don't exactly think of thrillers, but the director behind BRIDESMAIDS, SPY, and GHOSTBUSTERS will be giving us just that with the mystery thriller A SIMPLE FAVOR. The upcoming film follows mommy blogger Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) as she seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) disappearance. As the story evolves to include betrayals, reversals, and a dead body, there's the ever pressing questions of just who is duping whom. Time will tell whether A SIMPLE FAVOR is more GONE GIRL or THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN, but it does look to be a refreshing change of pace for Paul Feig. Sign me up.
