Anne Hathaway controls a Kaiju in trailer for Nacho Vigalondo’s Colossal

Anne Hathaway Colossal

When a giant monster appears out of nowhere and begins wreaking havoc on some metropolis, its origins are typically shrouded in mystery; but what if the destructive actions of that giant monster were somehow connected to the actions of a drunk party girl played by Anne Hathaway? That seems to be the focus of Nacho Vigalondo's (TIME CRIMES) latest film. After losing her job and being kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend (Dan Stevens), Gloria is forced to move back to her hometown as her life continues its downward spiral. Then, the sudden emergence of a Kaiju in Seoul, South Korea leads Gloria to the realization that she is somehow connected to the creature's actions.
