Another Avatar TV spot

Looks like I’m the official plug-boy around these parts for James Cameron’s AVATAR, his ambitious follow up to the most financially successful film all time (hint: the damn boat sinks!)

While we think it’s only fair to spare you of the tacky phone and soda TV tie-ins with the film, we’re not about to skip the third (somewhat extended) TV spot for the film, which manages to show us some never before seen footage (the cool shots of what look like exotic flowers or some shite). The tone of the spot is much lighter and family friendlier than priors seen, especially in the triumphant adventure flick score used this time around.

With just about 5 weeks and counting from release (December 18th), AVATAR finds a band of humans pitted in a battle against a distant planet’s indigenous population.

What’s also cool about the spot below is how we catch a glimpse of not only the Na’vi (the aforementioned indigenous population), but we’re exposed to the native landscape, the flora and fauna – the overall beauty of the place.

Don’t trust me? Cast your pupils underneath!
