Another new trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes brings the epicness

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Before you proceed, a word of caution, as this new trailer for WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES is certainly cool and epic, but it also divulges a few spoilers that you may want to avoid if trying to go in fresh. However, if you're cool with that, then settle in for what is probably the best trailer for Matt Reeves' new chapter in the APES franchise, which is currently buzzing through the roof after early reviews (read Chris Bumbray's right HERE) and sounds like it could very well be the best of the series since the 1968 original.

Apes! Together! Strong!

Honestly, I was not that jazzed for WAR OF APES this summer, feeling fairly moderate on the whole affair, but after the tremendous reviews from folks I know and trust, I'm more than a little excited. I love the hype and hope it can live up to it. If nothing else, just seeing Andy Serkis perform the shit out the role of Caesar is amazing enough, but having Woody Harrelson in the mix as his main antagonist, as well as Steve Zahn's "Bad Ape" to lighten up the obviously dark tone sets the stage for a hell of a ride.

WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES swings into theaters on July 14th.
