Michael Douglas is getting ready to grow out his Hank Pym goatee! The actor took to Instagram to express his excitement for the third Ant-Man film and he revealed that the movie is coming in 2022.

In his Instagram caption, Douglas wrote "Time to grow the goatee! Hank Pym is back! Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania coming in 2022!" The Instagram post also features a picture of Douglas as Hank Pym from the first Ant-Man film. You can check out the Instagram post below:

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had been rumored for a 2022 release date, but Marvel didn't make an official confirmation. In fact, since Marvel hasn't made an official confirmation, Douglas may be getting a call to take this down from Kevin Feige but he may have enough clout to avoid that call. Clearly, Douglas is excited to get back to work on the third installment and wanted to share it with the fans.

In addition to Douglas, the third Ant-Man film will see the return of Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michelle Pfeiffer. New additions to the cast include Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. Although unconfirmed, Michael Pena is expected to return as Luis and Judy Greer and Bobby Cannavale may also be on board again as Maggie and Jim Paxton, respectively.

Director Peyton Reed is back to helm the third film and he's coming off of a pretty busy year. Reed did work on season two of The Mandalorian, which was mostly a secret affair, and now he'll probably have to keep even more secrets on Ant-Man 3 for the MCU. Do you think he misses the simplicity of just directing a cheerleading movie like Bring It On?

By the way, if Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania does open in 2022 it's going to be a very crowded year for the MCU. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Captain Marvel 2, Black Panther 2, and Thor: Love and Thunder are all expected in 2022. This could very well all change with COVID-19 still messing with release dates, especially since we need to get Black Widow and Eternals first before we get any of these future MCU releases. Every day is a mystery with the release date shuffle but I am happy that it seems like work is soon getting started on the next Ant-Man installment.

Do YOU think we will see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2022?
