Will Arnett is attached to star in the upcoming comedy SPACE INVADER for Fox Atomic. Interesting but not Earth-shattering news, right? Here’s the twist. The project, developed with Arnett months ago, revolves around a twisted love triangle between three astronauts. The project got quick interest from Fox after the recent NASA story of astronaut Lisa Nowak who drove to Orlando, Florida (in diapers no less) to confront the girlfriend of a fellow astronaut she was obsessed with. Arnett worked on the script with writers Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger and shopped the project late last week where Fox picked up it for their genre division Fox Atomic. Arnett, whose late 2006 entry LET’S GO TO PRISON was a critical and commercial disaster, has a number of movies on the way including BLADES OF GLORY. He’ll begin work on another Will Ferrell film, SEMI-PRO, this spring.
