Ash vs. Evil Dead Bruce Campbell

More than twenty years after the release of ARMY OF DARKNESS, Bruce Campbell has made his triumphant return as chainsaw-handed hero Ash Williams in the Starz television series Ash vs. Evil Dead, a hilariously entertaining follow-up to the EVIL DEAD films.

Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind's only hope.

Season two of Ash vs. Evil Dead is currently in production, but if you're an EVIL DEAD fan who missed out on season one, don't worry. You're going to get your chance to catch up on the show before season two starts airing this fall.

Although nothing has been said about special features, it has been announced that season one of Ash vs. Evil Dead will be reaching DVD and Blu-ray on August 23rd. Amazon is already taking pre-orders.

Some extras would be nice, but even if this is a bare bones release it will still be worth adding this show to your collection, especially if you're one of the many horror fans who have bought multiple copies of the films over the years.

Campbell's co-stars on the series include Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Jill Marie Jones, and Lucy Lawless. Campbell also serves as an executive producer on the show, as do Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and showrunner Craig DiGregorio.
