The Aussie thriller RED HILL will finally see the light of day here in the states. Back in March, we told you that Sony had grabbed the domestic rights to the flick. Now Variety has revealed that Strand Releasing has partnered with Sony and obtained the distribution rights.

That’s not all – the film now has a North American release date: NOVEMBER 5th.

Directed by Patrick Hughes and starring “True Blood” star Ryan Kwanten, RED HILL centers on a new arrival on a small-town police force who’s forced to confront a legendary convicted murderer. Steve Bisley, Tom E. Lewis and Claire Van Der Boom co-star.

The flick was executive produced by Greg McLean, who threw some blood around the Outback with WOLF CREEK and ROGUE. It’s beginning to make the festival rounds, hitting up the Berlin International Film Festival on its way Chicago, Mill Valley, Fantastic and the Philadelphia film festivals. Seems like one to keep an eye out for… In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
