Severin Films has announced that they will be giving director Andres Torres' BAG BOY LOVER BOY a VOD release on June 30th, giving those of us who haven't been able to catch one of its festival screenings a chance to see the film that people are describing as a "slimy controversy magnet" that is "sincerely disturbing", "soul-crushing and dripping with filth", and "raw, funny and twisted".

As the press release puts it, BAG BOY LOVER BOY is a movie that has "been busy winning awards when it isn't turning stomachs" at festivals around the world.

Drawing comparisons to the works of Frank Henenlotter and Abel Ferrara, BAG BOY LOVER BOY centers on

a slow-witted misfit named Albert (Jon Wachter) who sells hot dogs all night from the most unsanitary food cart in downtown Manhattan. But when he’s invited to become the new model for a manipulative fetish photographer, Albert will be exposed to a seething city underbelly where desire masquerades as perversion and depravity poses as art. It may shock you. You might even be appalled. But you have never seen anything quite like BAG BOY LOVER BOY.

One thing that's obvious is that BAG BOY LOVER BOY is a film that gets people talking, so it will be interesting to see what the reactions are like once it's available to a larger audience.

The quirky and strange trailer for the film can be viewed at THIS LINK.
