Banks behind bars

Lust generator Elizabeth Banks is heading to the Big House, where she may incite a few riots.

Banks is in talks to join Russell Crowe inTHE NEXT THREE DAYS. Not strictly a “girls in prison” flick (which is a crime itself), the movie will feature Banks as “a woman who is imprisoned for a murder she claims she didn’t commit, as her husband (Crowe) desperately tries to vindicate her.” Heading inside himself and the duo busting out TANGO & CASH style is, presumably, out of the question.

The movie is a remake of the 2008 French thriller POUR ELLE and comes from Paul Haggis, the director of CRASH. So whatever message it contains may be thrust forcefully into your brain just so you (and the Oscar voters) don’t miss the point.
