Barbara is stronger than she thinks in new I Kill Giants poster

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Fear is a powerful weapon that can be used against us in a multitude of ways. For Barbara Thorson, her fear comes in the form of hulking beasts, who're determined to break her spirit, by reminding her of one harsh reality at a time. Fortunately for Barbara, she's stronger than she thinks, and soon she'll discover that a magical hammer named Kovaleski isn't the only way to defeat those who're looking to tear you down.

Today, we have a bold, new poster for Anders Walter's I KILL GIANTS, a feature-length adaptation of the critically-acclaimed graphic novel written by Joe Kelly with art by Ken Niimura. Released in 2008, I KILL GIANTS tells the emotional story of Barbara Thorson, an outcast fifth grader with an overactive imagination who spends her free time hunting and killing giants in a fantasy world of her own making.

The film stars Madison Wolfe (THE CONJURING 2) as Barbara, Sydney Wade (UNA) as Barbara's best friend, Sophia, Zoe Saldana (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) as Ms. Mollé, a school guidance counselor hoping to reach her troubled student, and Imogen Poots (GREEN ROOM) as Barbara's concerned sister.

Set to be Walters' feature debut, I KILL GIANTS will invite audience members on a emotional coming-of-age roller coaster ride fuled by imagination, heartbreak, and mythical creatures.
