Santa Clarita Diet

Last week, we were surprised to learn that Netflix's secretive comedy Santa Clarita Diet actually features a zombie Drew Barrymore and the consumption of human flesh. Now a pair of promos for the show have arrived online that feature Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as their characters Sheila and Joel Hammond, endorsing the titular Santa Clarita Diet – a diet that consists of eating unpleasant people. These videos don't actually contain footage from the show itself, but they're fun nonetheless.

Created by Victor Fresco, Santa Clarita Diet has the following synopsis:

In the single-camera series, Joel and Sheila are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending both their lives down a road of death and destruction… but in a good way.

Co-starring with Barrymore and Olyphant are Liv Hewson, Skyler Gisondo, Ricardo Chavira, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Richard T. Jones, with Nathan Fillion showing up in a guest appearance.

The ten episode first season of Santa Clarita Diet will be available for viewing on Netflix as of February 3rd.
