Jason Bateman and director Joe Carnahan will reteam (after their ever so brief SMOKIN’ ACES team-up) for the upcoming revenge buddy action-comedy THE REMARKABLE FELLOWS. The film is based on a concept Bateman hatched and brought to Carnahan to write and direct. The two pitched the concept to Universal who acquired the rights. The film follows two brothers (The Fellows) who inherit the family business that involves exacting revenge for a price. Or as Bateman puts it, “If the president of a major bank was sleeping with the French ambassador’s wife, the banker would call these guys.” Carnahan has some time to write the script after his summer filming project, the Reese Witherspoon film BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING, fell apart. He’s scheduled to begin production on WHITE JAZZ with George Clooney this fall. Bateman is about to begin filming on TONIGHT, HE COMES with Will Smith and Charlize Theron.
