Jason Bateman has signed on to reteam with Jennifer Garner in the upcoming comedy JUNO. Bateman, who stars with Garner in the Peter Berg thriller THE KINGDOM, joins Garner, Ellen Page and Allison Janney in the film about a young girl (Page) who accidentally gets pregnant and the foster mother (Garner). The movie will also reunite Bateman with Michael Cera, his “Arrested Development” co-star, who has a supporting role. Bateman will play the husband to Garner’s character in the film. Jason Reitman (THANK YOU FOR SMOKING) is directing the film for Fox Searchlight with John Malkovich (Malkovich!) producing. Bateman has KINGDOM on the way in September and then MR. MAGORIUM’S WONDER EMPORIUM with Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman in November. He’ll begin work on the Will Smith/Charlize Theron superhero drama TONIGHT, HE COMES. Filming on JUNO is currently underway in Vancouver.
