Delicious and daring distaff thesp Maria Bello is taking over for Maggie Gyllenhaal in the Rebecca Miller directed dramedy THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE. Based on Miller’s own novel, which she adapted herself, the film centers on a woman (Robin Wright Penn) whose idyllic life spirals out of control when her much older husband engages in an affair and decides to move them to a retirement home. Bello will be playing Penn’s mother in flashback sequences. Keanu Reeves, Monica Bellucci, Winona Ryder, Julianne Moore and Alan Arkin co-star. Bello can next be seen in the spectacularly graphic indie drama DOWNLOADING NANCY and as the re-incarnated Evie O’Connell in the Rob Cohen directed, annoyingly long-titled action threequel THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR.
