Ben Affleck is capable of more than you know in The Accountant trailer

I've got to hand it to Ben Affleck, the dude has really turned his professional life around. After a period in which he seemed trapped in an endless cycle of run-of-the-mill action films and romantic comedies, Affleck took control and stepped behind the camera to give us some awesome films like GONE BABY GONE and ARGO, not to mention taking on some interesting acting challenges in GONE GIRL and proving to be the best part of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. The first trailer for Affleck's latest film, THE ACCOUNTANT, has just arrived and it certainly looks as though it has the potential to be something very good.

"Can our son lead a normal life?"

THE ACCOUNTANT was directed by Gavin O’Connor (WARRIOR) and stars Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Lithgow. Affleck is currently in post-production on LIVE BY NIGHT, which he directed, wrote, and starred in, as well as serving as executive producer and appearing as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE. Ben Affleck is also set to direct and star in his own solo BATMAN film. The man likes to work.

A synopsis for THE ACCOUNTANT:

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.

THE ACCOUNTANT is set to hit theaters on October 14, 2016.
