One of my most highly anticipated original genre releases of the year is director Gregory Plotkin's HELLFEST, which sounds like an old school slasher movie – and I am in serious need of a new big screen slasher boom.

Produced by Gale Anne Hurd and written by William Penick and Chris Sey, the film is 

set at a horror theme park during Halloween, where a night of fun turns deadly as a costumed killer begins slaying unsuspecting patrons who believe that it's all part of the festivities.

Starring Bex Taylor-Klaus of the Scream television series (pictured above), Amy Forsyth, Reign Edwards, and Christian James, HELLFEST recently wrapped production, and now the project's official Instagram account has shared a behind-the-scenes image of Taylor-Klaus and James hanging out on the set. That picture can be seen below.

HELLFEST is set to receive a theatrical release on September 28th.
