Jessica Biel has signed on to star in the upcoming romantic comedy EASY VIRTUE based on the Noel Coward play. Biel will play an American divorcee who travels to London and falls in love with a wealthy Brit. They quickly elope but then must return to meet his stuffy and unapproving parents (Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas). Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian in the upcoming CHRONICLES OF NARNIA sequel) will star as the man she falls in love with. Not exactly my kind of movie but then again I can just get by looking at this. And everything is right with the world again… Biel recently wrapped filming on the infamous “stripper” film POWDER BLUE where she’ll supposedly be naked (don’t believe the hype – it ain’t happenin’). She also recently signed on to star in David O. Russell’s NAILED but that film may have been delayed because of the strike. Filming on EASY is scheduled to begin later this month in London with Stephan Elliott (THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT) directing.
