Bikinis, guns, and James Franco run rampant in two new trailers for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers

JoBloJoBlo

We’ve been inundated with images from Harmony Korine‘s SPRING BREAKERS for months now, as well as a clip featuring James Franco as a drug dealer named Alien interacting with four young, impressionable, tenacious, and violent bikini-clad girls in the form of Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgins, and Rachel Korine.  Now, the wait for a proper look at the film has arrived with not one, but two different trailers, each with similar levels of crazy.  I still don’t know exactly what kind of movie this will be, but hot damn, bikinis, guns, Franco, club music, sports cars, and did I mention bikinis?  I’m all in, baby.

Here’s the U.S. Trailer:

Here’s the synopsis:

Four college girls who land in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation find themselves bailed out by a drug and arms dealer who wants them to do some dirty work.

Dare I say, this actually looks like it will have some depth to it (I know, i know, sounds nuts) as it looks more like a cautionary tale, rather than a straight up exploitation film.  Either way, my intrigue knows no limits and I look forward to seeing an over-the-top performance from Franco and four girls go past the point of no return, while wearing bikinis, masks, and clutching automatic weapons.

SPRING BREAKERS opens March 29, 2013.
