It may be a decade past its due date, but BAD SANTA 2 is finally on the way under the direction of Mark Waters (MEAN GIRLS). While plot details are scarce, we can expect Billy Bob Thornton to don the Santa costume once more under the influence. He'll be joined by Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Kathy Bates, and Christina Hendricks. I felt the original BAD SANTA was okay for the time, but tried a little too hard to straddle the line between dark comedy and having something to say. If anything, I'd love this sequel to just stick to the dark jokes and leave it at that. A full trailer can't be too far behind, so we'll see how it fares once that bad boy hits!
BAD SANTA 2 will open in theaters on November 23, 2016.
