The citizens of New York City have been safe from being screamed at by Billy Eichner for the last few years, but that’s all about to change. The actor has brought back his comedy game-show series Billy on the Street in order to promote Bros. Along with “famous and beloved straight man” Paul Rudd, Billy Eichner takes to the streets to pump up excitement for his upcoming movie. Check out the new episode below!

Produced by Funny or Die, Billy Eichner brought his short-fused comedy to Billy on the Street for five successful seasons. Bros serves as Eichner’s first leading role in a feature film and the first romantic comedy from a major studio centered around two gay men. In addition to starring in the film, Eichner also co-write the script with director Nicholas Stoller.

Our own Chris Bumbray caught Bros at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month. “One interesting thing about Bros is that at the beginning of the film, Bobby goes on a rant explaining how he was once approached to write a gay rom-com that seemed too tailored to a straight audience,” Bumbray wrote. “He mocks the studio exec’s suggestion that ‘love is love is love.’ Still, oddly enough, the film proves the exec could have been right, with the ultimate love story between the two guys being pretty universal, whatever your sexual orientation happens to be.” Although he thought it stuck a little too closely to romantic comedy tropes, “anyone who checks it out will have a great time,” regardless of whether or not they think they’re the target audience. You can check out the rest of Bumbray’s Bros review right here.

Bros will hit theaters on September 30th.
