It is being reported that British actor Brian Blessed has been cast as Odin in Kenneth Branagh’s THOR. If it is true, then it is inspired. Blessed has previously played Caesar Augustus in I CLAUDIUS has appeared in several of Branagh’s productions, including HAMLET and AS YOU LIKE IT. As we know, he joins Chris Hemsworth (STAR TREK) as Thor and Tom Hiddlestone as Loki. Samuel L. Jackson will also probably be involved in some capacity as Nick Fury.
I know that the schmoes are way too cool to make some “blessed casting” type pun so I’m not even gonna check back and see if any of you do it. Because you won’t. I know you won’t. Please don’t.
