Update: Bob Odenkirk himself has issued an update about his recovery from a "small heart attack" on Twitter. In addition to expressing his heartfelt thanks to those who have wished him well, he also says that his doctors knew how to fix the blockage without surgery.

Original Article: It sounds like Bob Odenkirk is going to make a swift recovery from his recent "heart-related incident," folks. How about that, eh? An aspect of 2021 doesn't suck. What a concept!

The good word comes courtesy of Odenkirk's longtime friend and Mr. Show co-star David Cross, who says Odenkirk is "doing great." Cross recently spoke with Odenkirk over the phone, who is currently at a hospital in New Mexico where he is receiving excellent care.

You can check out Cross's tweet below, where he updated his followers (as well as Odenkirk fans) about his good buddy's promising progress:

Details surrounding Odenkirk's health trouble are being kept hush at this time. Perhaps all will be revealed once Odenkirk is ready to give his own statement. Or not, seeing as his health is his business. The important takeaway here is that he's doing well and is in good spirits.

Odenkirk's rep shared an update about the actor's recovery on Wednesday, saying, “He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew, and producers who have stayed by his side. The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery.”

We here at JoBlo wish Mr. Odenkirk a swift recovery and hope to see him back in fighting form real soon.
