Bradley Cooper as THE CROW? Really?!? I’m afraid a deal is imminent folks, that is if The Hollywood Reporter is accurate. Word is Cooper is in early negotiations to play Eric Draven in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s rehash of the 1994 Gothic-rock-horror-show. Not sure how you all feel about such a prospect, but within our own ranks here at AITH, reaction has ranged from “WOW…to…Lame.”

With a script yet to be retooled, you can bet Cooper will play a rock musician who, while trying to protect his fiancée from ruffians, gets unceremoniously killed. He’ll then be resurrected by a supernatural force before seeking bloody revenge.

Word is Fresnadillo (28 WEEKS LATER) has already met with Cooper in Spain, where the two hit it off and instantly saw eye to eye on how the character and the film should come be comported. Nothing is official yet, but with Cooper culling dough for Relativity in LIMITLESS right now, it seems likely the marriage will continue with THE CROW, which is looking to take flight this fall.

Alrighty, let’s get a pulse. You diggin’ the idea of Mr. Cooper playing THE CROW? Is he a better choice than Mark Wahlberg, who was previously linked to the part? If not either men, who do you think would best portray Eric Draven in the 21st century?

Cooper’s HANGOVER II co-star Jamie Chung!
