Bradley Cooper says there will be no A-Team 2

If you were holding out for a sequel to THE A-TEAM, then you might be terribly disappointed with what Bradley Cooper told Empire.

During a webchat, Empire asked if there were any plans for the sequel, “Any news on the A-Team 2? Will there be one? I thought it was great and my friends felt the same.”

What did Face have to say? “I loved it too. But unfortunately, outside of you, a few of your friends and myself, there just wasn’t enough revenue to supply a second installment of that franchise.”

Empire broke down the numbers for us: “If you look at the numbers, the US haul clocked in at $77 million, and the rest of the world, $100 million. Its budget was $110, so there’s $67 million there to pay for all the marketing (and there was a lot).” I know several people who really enjoyed THE A-TEAM. No one expected it to be mind-blowing, it was just a fun action flick.

Also it probably didn’t help that they released the film during the World Cup…
