Scrubs star and GARDEN STATE writer/director Zach Braff, who has been in the news recently just for dating Florence Pugh, has signed on to star in the shark thriller TIBURON alongside Paula Patton and Rupert Friend.

Alistair Legrand will be directing the film from a screenplay by Jonathan WC Mills. The story centers on

a young family trapped on top of a camper van stranded on a flooded tidal basin within sight of the beach. They must decide whether to face down a sadistic fugitive or flee through shark-infested waters.

Mills is producing TIBURON with Tom Butterfield and Harry White of Culmination, the production company and sales agent that is currently presenting the project to potential buyers at the European Film Market.

TIBURON is expected to film in South Africa this spring.

Any new shark thriller will always have my attention, and this particular one has an intriguing cast, so I will definitely be following the progress of TIBURON.
