Brazil got a very different trailer for the new Halloween

Yesterday Universal Pictures released a new trailer for Blumhouse's upcoming HALLOWEEN sequel in territories all around the globe – but the trailer released in Brazil is quite different from the one released elsewhere.

The trailer we saw yesterday largely focused on one sequence in the film that has been getting hyped for a while now, which was sort of bothersome to me because I wanted to save that sequence for when I watch the full movie on the big screen next month. That level of SPOILER pales in comparison to what's in the Brazilian trailer, though. This one really seems to be one of those types of previews that takes you through the entire movie in just 2 minutes…

Directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley, this HALLOWEEN ignores the events of all previous sequels, only acknowledging the 1978 original. Jamie Lee Curtis returns to the role of

Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Also in the cast are Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen; Andi Matichak as Laurie's granddaughter Allyson; Miles Robbins, Virginia Gardner, Dylan Arnold, and Drew Scheid as Allyson's Haddonfield High classmates; Will Patton and Rob Niter as police officers; Rhian Rees as a character named Dana; Toby Huss as Ray; and Diva Tyler as a caretaker. Original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle and stuntman James Jude Courtney both wore the mask of the iconic slasher this time around.

Original HALLOWEEN director John Carpenter executive produced this new film and has composed the score with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies.

HALLOWEEN is set to be released on October 19th, but if you want to get a good idea of how it plays out take a look at the trailer below. The U.S. trailer is also included below for comparison.
