Bruce Willis and Danny Trejo Join Carey Mulligan and Saiorse Ronan in Violet & Daisy

Here’s the first we’re hearing of VIOLET & DAISY, a film LA Times’ 24 Frames says is being described as “THELMA & LOUISE meets SUPERBAD with a helping of PULP FICTION.”

The film comes from Geoffrey Fletcher – the Oscar-winning writer of last year’s PRECIOUS – who’s making his directorial debut here. The film already stars Carey Mulligan (WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS) and Saiorse Ronan (HANNA), and now 24 Frames reports that the odd duo of Bruce Willis (RED) and Danny Trejo (MACHETE) are in talks to be added to the mix.

No story details are divulged by 24 Frames (and I don’t think it’s about Violet and Daisy the conjoined twins) but Showbiz411 in a report back in April did say it has “plenty of action, and lots of girl power.” We’ll have to wait to hear how exactly Willis and Trejo fit into that equation.
