Bryan Singer’s Jack The Giant killer moves up from June 2012 to March 2013

With the new year less than three weeks old, Warner Bros. sees it fit to do a little release date shuffling. Of the three titles they’ve just tweaked, one of them sort of concerns us here at AITH, though the more we see of the film, the less I believe that to be the case.

Word is Bryan Singer’s JACK THE GIANT KILLER has been moved up from a June 15, 2012 release to the new date of March 22, 2013.

My only guess for the movie is that the movie sucks soggy nut-sacks, so much so that the studio has no faith in it performing well in the summer months. A late March release reeks of, well, SUCKER PUNCH. Yeah, that’s how little I’ve come to expect from JACK THE GIANT KILLER.

Starring Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Nicholas Hoult, John Kassir, Caroline Hayes, Eleanor Tomlinson (below), Christopher Villiers and Lee Boardman – JACK THE GIANT KILLER is a modern day fairy tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.

See JACK do his thing on March 22, 2013.
