Any “Battle Star Galactica” fans in the house?!?

I hope so, because word out of The Wrap today has it that BSG vet Michael Hogan (right) is the newest actor to be added to Catherine Hardwicke’s twisted fairytale RED RIDING HOOD. That’s right y’all…Colonel Tigh is officially set to slink through the woods!

Hogan joins the heavyweight likes of Gary Oldman and Julie Christie, as well as lead actress and owner of the sexiest eyes in the biz, Ms. Amanda Seyfried (below). Michael Shanks, Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Jen Halley, Carmen Lavigne and Cole Heppell round out the support.

Here’s an what we know about the picture so far:

Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl (Seyfried) falls for an orphaned woodcutter (Irons), much to her family’s displeasure.

Mix that lackluster rundown with the fact Hardwicke directed the original TWILIGHT, and you can see why I’m none too thrilled about this picture. Pity, as I always enjoy watching Gary Oldman and Julie Christie, not to mention the inextinguishable heat that is Amanda Seyfried.

But what says you? Down with RED RIDING HOOD in general? How does the addition of Michael Hogan change your opinion, if at all?

RED RIDING HOOD opens April 22nd, 2011.
