After roles in the Truman Capote biopic INFAMOUS and the upcoming thriller PREMONITION, we’re just about due for a Sandra Bullock clumsy-girl-unlucky-in-love- finds-her-inner-confidence-and-falls-in-love romance. Well good news, we’ve got one of those on the way. Bullock has acquired the rights to the memoir KISS & TANGO to produce and likely star in for Fox. In the film, Bullock would star as a lonely, bored, stressed (etc…) woman who vacations to Buenos Aires. She takes tango lessons while there and – wouldn’t ya know it? – “rediscovers herself” while falling in love with her hunky instructor. Kinda like HOW SANDY GOT HER GROOVE BACK. The book is a recounting of the real life adventures of Marina Palmer who headed to South America in 1999 (and she never came back). Bullock has brought on young writer Nicole Perlman to pen the adaptation. Bullock’s next film, the aforementioned PREMONITION, will hit theaters in March.
