Cage talks Ghost Rider2

We’re still being threatened with a GHOST RIDER 2, as evidenced by a new interview with Nicolas Cage (who is promoting the positively horrific-looking G-FORCE) conducted by MTV. In the interview, Cage says he wants to go “in a whole other direction” with the next GR movie (preferably one that doesn’t suck), making it “less of a western and more of an international story”. I’m sure that would be really cool… (groan)

Here’s an idea: How about no more GHOST RIDER movies? I really believe this particular character is much better suited for the page, and no amount of effort will make him translate well to the big screen. Combine that with the fact that Nic Cage is just a complete buffoon in almost every movie he makes nowadays, and you’ve got a recipe for suck. Bring back Mark Steven Johnson to direct? Oh brother, now you’re talking about an experience that would make having butt-sex with a porcupine sound awesome.
