Can you handle The World's Most Claustrophobic Cinema?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm what you call a claustrophobic. Big time. But that said, I find something oddly intriguing and comforting about the idea of "The World's Most Claustrophobic Cinema." Maybe it's because it seems like the ultimate immersive movie-going experience of all time. Maybe it's because I hate other people talking while I'm trying to watch a movie. I'm not sure. But let's go through all the info and then decide afterward.

Here's the official rundown via the site:

Extreme weather is increasingly common and the alarming reports keep coming. The spacecraft Aniara’s climate refugees struggle with obsessive thoughts, isolation, and limited space. Become a part of the exclusive group who will get a chance to lie comfortably in a custom-made sarcophagus. Completely isolated from the outside world you will experience the doom, a challenging experience that deepens the feeling of being alone in space that characterizes Aniara.

See the trailer for Harry Martinson’s epic space odyssey ANIARA and the "Sarcophagus Cinema" itself below.

The site also goes on to say:

Have you ever been stuck on a lift or felt any feeling of claustrophobia in a tight awkward space? If so, then maybe this experience isn’t for you. Alone, confined and exposed. Experience the film adaption of Harry Martinson’s epic space odyssey Aniara. Trapped in a custom-made sarcophagus, at the world’s most claustrophobic cinema. Trapped inside, exclusive viewers will get the chance to see the movie completely isolated from the outside world as you will experience the doom, a challenging experience that deepens the feeling of being alone in space that characterizes Aniara.

I don't know anything about this ANIARA motion picture, but if I had to watch it to get a chance to try out this box of cinema, I'd give it a go… with the caveat that someone stands outside it at all times just in case I freak the fuck out. This unique event will be taking place at the Göteborg Film Festival which will be taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden between 27 January – 3 February 2018. Tickets are limited so visit HERE for more info.
