About two years ago, Paramount Vantage started production on a thriller titled CARRIERS about a viral pandemic and starring a young actor named Chris Pine. Vantage, the indie studio of Paramount, hoped the film would be a hit like 28 DAYS LATER was for Fox Searchlight. But the film had its problems, which were only worsened when Paramount decided to do away with Vantage entirely. But now Chris Pine is the star of one of the biggest movies of the year and, shit, why not? Let’s throw this thing out there and see what happens. Oh and we’re just gonna toss it out on September 4th when no one is paying attention.
The trailer for the film is below and it doesn’t look CASE 39 awful though obviously derivative of the viral/zombie films of a few years ago. Check it out!
