The Daniel Craig James Bond 007 era kicks off in high style with Casino Royale, widely regarded as one of the best James Bond movies of all time, and a strong start to Craig's run as the super spy. Directed by Martin Campbell, it was a gritty and grounded reboot of the character that was a much needed reset after the creative disaster of Die Another Day. On this episode of James Bond Revisited, we dig into the film's making, which included the painful dismissal of Pierce Brosnan, the controversial hiring of Craig, the fact that a young Henry Cavill was at one time the front-runner, and Eva Green as perhaps the greatest Bond girl ever.
