Cehennem 3D (Inferno 3D), Turkey’s first 3D film happens to be a horror flick!

With Turkey day on the brink, why not bring you an actual horror flick from Turkey?!?

Kinda makes sense, so we’re runnin’ with it. The flick in question is called CEHENNEM 3D (INFERNO 3D), and it’s said to be the very first 3D film ever produced in the country of Turkey. Pretty cool sauce (cranberry, natch), if I do say so myself…and the fact it happens to be a flick from our beloved genre only sweetens it!

From director Biray Dalkiran – CEHENNEM 3D centers on:

Ahmet, a photographer who is planning to do a shoot with a model named Berk. The location he wants to use is a former candle factory. But the factory has a reputation for strange accidents, and many people died in a fire on the premises which led to its closure. There’s also a disturbing story of a child who allegedly died a terrible death there – “a boy who was murdered by his parents and who returns from the dead for revenge” – leading to the widespread belief that the building is cursed. As a set for a photo shoot, though, it certainly has atmosphere, as it’s partially destroyed, isolated, dark and sinister. And as Ahmet goes ahead with his plans, it leads to terrifying events that no-one could ever have seen coming.

Pelin Ermis, Tuba Melis Turk, Serhan Susler and Ogun Kaptanoglu make up the minimal roster of players.

CEHENNEM 3D released in Turkey, Germany and France last month…so stay tuned for more worldwide release dates as they come in.
