I was reading an article the other day about the local New Jersey “Star Trek” fanclub and how they were assembling to hit up the midnight screening on Thursday and take the day off Friday to discuss and blah blah. And normally I’d think that was par for the Trek course. But the magic of this latest STAR TREK movie is that seems to be in the minority. The old school Jon Lovitz trekkies aren’t the ones lining up to see TREK, it’s just regular old movie fans. JJ Abrams has made a movie that is coasting on such positive buzz, everyone is excited about it. And what better way to get excited than to throw up some Vulcan gang signs!
