Charlie Cox on the one change he hopes the MCU will make to the Daredevil costume

Charlie Cox played Matt Murdock/Daredevil over the course of three seasons of the Netflix series, but when the streaming service scrapped the show, it wasn’t known whether we would ever see him again. Thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock has finally made his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, giving fans hope that we haven’t seen the last of him.

If Charlie Cox is able to suit up as Daredevil once again in the MCU, he has one request regarding the costume. The Netflix series included several different Daredevil suits but the actor told ComicBook.com that he’d love to finally see the big DD across his chest.

What I would say is, I’ve always liked the idea that at some point in Matt’s journey, his emotional journey, and again, I don’t know how everything is happening, or what might happen, and how it ties into what we’ve already done, I have no idea at all. But I’ve always liked the idea that at some point he feels like he has earned the right to have the DD [on his chest], which we’ve never had.

Charlie Cox continued, “And one day down the line, I like the idea that he just makes that decision; we get to witness that evolution on screen. That’s just a little idea that I’ve had that I thought would be quite cool.” It was recently confirmed that Daredevil, along with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., would be coming to Disney+ on March 16th. Since the Netflix shows are a little more violent than the usual fare on Disney+, the streaming service will also release an update to the parental controls. When Daredevil does finally get to don his costume on-screen, which version are you hoping to see?
