And for today’s first serving of frustratingly vague news, it is being reported that Charlize Theron has signed on to star in AGENT 13, a sci-fi action movie with a plot that is being kept very much under wraps at the moment.  The script is by T.S. Nowlin, a gentleman with quite a few projects in various stages of development, while Rupert Wyatt (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) is attached to direct.

The report goes on to state that “most of the major studios are pursuing the project, including Sony, Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures, Paramount, Universal and 20th Century Fox.”  So perhaps we’ll maybe possible learn some more details soon about Theron’s proposed post-PROMETHEUS sci-fi outing?

In an interesting bit of connective tissue between the people involved in this project, T.S. Nowlin also wrote THE ORDER OF THE SEVEN (aka SNOW AND THE SEVEN), a new version of the Snow White story that involves Shaolin monks and boasts Saoirse Ronan attached to star.  Theron is of course playing the evil Queen Ravenna in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, due out June 1st.

I feel like this is relevant because people often yell in sci-fi action movies:
