IRON MAN 3 is making its way to blu-ray next month and today we have a look at one of the deleted scenes to be featured on the disc. The scene takes place after the first Extremis soldier explosion and flows to "where the Mandarin communicates with one of his operatives before going on TV and delivering a creepy message to the world." The Mandarin, as portrayed by Ben Kingsley in the film, is one of the most controversial villains of the year for many spoilery reasons, which clearly divided fans, but didn't affect the box office a tiny bit.

Take a look:

It's a short, interesting scene, but I can see why it was cut, especially since there is plenty of Mandarin "grandstanding" throughout as is. I'm looking forward to seeing IRON MAN 3 again, as I only caught it once in theaters (blasphemy!). I enjoyed it, but wasn't floored. Perhaps now that I'm well aware of all its "secrets" I can watch with fresh eyes.

IRON MAN 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, and Jon Favreau hits Blu-Ray/DVD on September 24, 2013. Preorder it here!
