Check out concept art from George Miller’s cancelled Justice League movie

While we will never get to see George Miller's version of JUSTICE LEAGUE, a developing documentary wants us to see what could have been. The producers behind MILLER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL, the story of the superhero mega-movie that never was, have been sharing some concept art from the aborted film showcasing Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter.

The Facebook page for the film has been gathering more steam since the release of these images which you can see below courtesy of their Twitter page.

George Miller's JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL had a complete cast in place that included Batman (Armie Hammer), Superman (D.J. Cotrona), Wonder Woman (Megan Gale), the Flash (Adam Brody), Aquaman (Santiago Cabrera), Green Lantern (Common), and Martian Manhunter (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD's Hugh Keays-Byrne). It was all set to film in 2007 as a fully motion captured project but fell apart due to the Writer's Guild strike and the developing BATMAN BEGINS project. The rest is history.

Much like Tim Burton's failed Superman movie, JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL remains one of the most intriguing films that never happened. What would the cinematic superhero universes have looked like if DC had gotten a jump on Marvel and THE AVENGERS? We may never know, but we can still look forward to what comes next.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE opens March 25, 2016 with JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE debuting on November 17, 2017.
