For many of you, Batman: The Animated series is the quintessential animated superhero series, which means that getting to revisit the series in HD will likely be quite the stroll down nostalgia lane. As for myself, I was one of those weird kids who grew up without television, but even I was somehow aware of the artfully crafted opening credits to the Bruce Timm series. Last month it was announced that Batman: The Animated Series would be heading to Blu-ray in an all-encompassing box-set, and Warner Bros. have now given us a little taste of what the series will look like in HD with a video showing off the remastered version of the opening credits. Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition box-set will include all episodes of the series in addition to the animated feature-films BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM and BATMAN & MR. FREEZE: SUB-ZERO, both of which have been remastered. There will also be featurettes, commentaries, three Funko mini-figurines (Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn), and more. That box-set was slated to be released on October 16, 2018, but Warner Bros. have now pushed that back to October 30, 2018. That extra wait isn't entirely bad news however as Warner Bros. also announced that the box-set will now include a Digital Copy of the series as well.
