Remember that hellish little PR stunt the cats behind AMC’s “The Walking Dead” pulled earlier this week – where droves of citizens decked in zombie makeup flocked to the streets to attack major landmarks (in 26 worldwide cities no less) – well, we’ve got the video to prove it!
Props to Deadline, who snagged the footage (and OG story) that plays like a hidden camera exposé. Watch as genuinely surprised passer bys lay eyes on a rabid zombie outbreak. Worth a chuckle here and there if nothing else…
In case it’s slipped, remember that “The Walking Dead” premieres on AMC this Sunday at 10:00 pm. I’ve seen the pilot episode (review up tomorrow), and I assure it’s exactly the kind of programming you’re gonna wanna spend your Halloween with. Real talk!
Starring Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden (below), Steven Yeun and Sarah Wayne Callies:
“The Walking Dead” revolves around an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
Halloween night yo, it’s on!
