Last week you saw the first image from the new TOY STORY short “Small Fry”, and today you get to see the first clip!
“Small Fry” is the latest in the Disney/Pixar theatrical shorts and the second of the TOY STORY ones (the first being “Hawaiian Vacation” with Ken and Barbie). It comes directed by Pixar animator Angus MacLane who first showed off his directing chops with the short “BURN-E” off the WALL-E home video release.
The short follows “a Happy Meal-type toy at a fast-food restaurant [who] yearns to break out of his display case to play like a real toy. He kidnaps Buzz Lightyear in an attempt to take over his play-filled existence. The life-reversal forces the real Buzz Lightyear to deal with a support group for discarded, unloved fast-food toys.”
