Chloe Moretz talks being a 250-year-old vampire in Let Me In

The other day we had Matt Reeves telling us his LET THE RIGHT ONE IN remake will be “darker than Twilight”, which isn’t hard to do – f*cking FREAKY FRIDAY is darker than TWILIGHT.

Now we have young actress Chloe Moretz (pictured right in a still from KICK-ASS) chatting about the flick, although she doesn’t really get into the whole “original vs. remake” debate. (Shit, she might be too young to even watch the original LET THE RIGHT ONE IN.) She just sticks to what it’s like being a scary-ass vampire.

“I don’t have fangs; but [my teeth] are quite scary. I can’t really say anything about it, but they’re terrifying,”
Moretz told MTV.

“I’m the only vampire. You never meet her maker, who made her a vampire. You have a flashback scene where you get it, but you don’t. It just leaves her background kind of blurry. Because, she’s been around for 250 years.”

“It definitely doesn’t glamorize the idea of a vampire; you see it’s not a fun thing to have in your life. She wishes not to have it; she wishes she could be a normal girl, but she can’t. And she would never put it upon anyone else to become a vampire. That’s why anyone who she does suck their blood, she kills.”

Moretz has wrapped on LET ME IN, so the flick seems to be moving at a steady pace. It has until OCTOBER 1st to get its act together. To read her interview in full, head on over HERE.
